So my mom took me to one today, and it made me feel like the most unprepared person ever. They kept going on and on and onnnn about how I need a better GPA and how I need to get more involved, yet at the same time, they tell me to get less involved so I can focus on my GPA. -___-
HarvardSquare2. Oh my gosh I hate that place. I don't even know why. It looks all professional and the people are pretty chill but al;sdfjasldkj there's just SOMETHING there that just makes me want to stay away. D:
So the first thing you do if you buy the counseling package (which is 5K, by the way) is you take this hugeass 4-hour test. And apparently this test is supposed to tell you what your abilities are and what colleges you should go for. Then you get your own personal counselor that guides through allll of high school. And man it all sounds good. You get help with letters of rec and college apps and interning and a;sdkljdlkfja;sd I know I'll want it pretty bad. But ehh.
I think I'd feel like I'm not controlling my OWN future anymore, but letting other people do it. And I don't need a capabilities test to tell me what I need to improve on. If other people can get into colleges without a counselor holding their hand, I'm pretty sure I won't be struggling that hard.
But then. Wow. It's way too temtpting. -_- And I don't know if I'm saying no because I sincerely don't want to, or because it's a pride issue.
Question: What's YOUR dream college?
I kinda like dreaming about UPenn and NYU HAHAHA. But I think I'll stick to Berkeley. (:

Impress me. Sing along to Bon Jovi and Muse with me. Watch Lion King until your eyes hurt. Laugh at all my jokes. Buy me striped clothing on my birthday! Learn to love my Mickey. (: Memorize my phone number, and memorize it RIGHT. Buy me CD albums for my birthday/Christmas/anything! Never tell me you want to watch me swim. Get me Vitamin Water when I'm stressed. (: Tell me your life story. I'll tell you mine.
